(The Castle Jeweler) White Castle Building Number 8 is a White Castle restaurant building in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It was one of the few prefabricated, portable buildings built by the chain, and is presently operated as a jewelry store.

Wicked Mystery Stone Pendant (mystery no more)

This is a very large but elegant prong set pendant. Unfortunately I can't remember what the stone is, though I think it begins with a "T". I have stumped some of the best jewelers in the area trying to identify it. Do you have a clue?

The stone has deep hues of brown and purple and the occlusions are irredescent gold. I wrapped it sideways, because the occlusions form to look like tiny castles in the distance.

The setting is very wide ( 2 stands of sterling silver pattern wire and 8 14k gf wires at a total width of 18mm) to offset the size of the stone.

The stone is a 32mm by 24mm faceted oval, and the whole pendant measures 1 3/4" from the top of the bail and 1 1/4" wide. The bail is also large to accomodate even the chunkiest of chains - $180.00

The mountains of NH have been good to me but the conditions can be brutal. Weather changes in an instant and the conditions can be (and often are) as bad as anywhere in the world. But there have been many good days for me in these mountains (and a few bad ones that I wouldn't trade for a comfy day at home).
